Writing for Starbucks was a dream job. I got to uphold the brand voice and help brighten customers' day—all while learning constantly. My role included leading email creative (examples below), and writing attention-grabbing subject lines for 12 million+ subscribers, plus in-app ads, web content, and product descriptions.
EMAIL NEWSLETTERS: These projects were always a treat. Marketing would give us several topics for an email. The below examples are all emails I concepted and pitched, then created with our freelance designer.
IN-APP MESSAGING: The key, I've found, for tight copy is utilizing the image and on-image headline effectively so the limited characters you do get are used well and add to the story. No repeating, no wasted space.
MORE EMAILS, SOCIAL POSTS & WEB CONTENT: There's always something fun happening at Starbucks. From holiday to PSL to limited-time drinks, the content is exciting and alive with anticipation.
