Expedia represents a time of massive learning and growth in my email marketing and writing career. I relished the intricate metrics and detailed insights from our marketing ops team. We worked closely to create the right message at the right time. This way key. And this was fun.
But it wasn't always easy. Expedia emails were expected to deliver a lot of money, often millions of dollars per email. So the pressure to understand who was receiving what message, their past behavior/purchases, woven with the marketing message was a bit science, a bit creative, and I loooved it!
